Dogs,
as opposed to cats, really love sweets but it
is necessary to limit the ingestion of foods containing sugar. They are high
in calories and may lead to a tendency towards obesity.
Few know that bitter chocolate is a real poison to
our four legged friends. The teobromina contained in chocolate is so toxic
that it would take only about 2 ounces to be lethal to a 22 lb. dog.
