Dear Capricorn,
practical, charming and cautious. You are the ideal person who appreciates the joys of good eating, the pleasure of brilliant and fun loving company, that joyful, party feeling which a successful meal can successfully communicate. You enjoy eating and, unfortunately, your figure may suffer, underlining, perhaps a bit too punitive, your partiality, but in the end, you manage to live with your figure, better than many people, without overly worrying about it. You carry with you that striking image of charm which allows you to feel completely at ease among and with other people. However, there is always a touch of nervousness and an underlying insecurity (which you jealously keep inside yourself) which may have a negative effect on your relationship with food. You may sometimes eat too much and too fast, a “fridge thief”, putting yourself into that category of persons who think they don’t eat much and can never understand why they gain weight.
But on the outside, your behavior remains constant, tranquil and controlled, underlined by a touch of irony and charm which determine your mundane success. (and position, if you like).
An earth sign, you love to eat foods which, directly or through transformation, have their roots coming straight from the ground. Therefore, potatoes, grains (like pasta and bread), soups and finally, meat, are all elements which make up your taste and spirit.
Being invited is no problem as you certainly are not one to worry over details. Instead, if you really want to impress a Capricorn, emphasize the exterior appearance of the food you prepare, careful, as he is, with the material aspect, with the evident show of wealth and “power”, he will certainly appreciate to the utmost, the “social” attention and the high-ranking group surrounding him.
Then perhaps, on his way home, he’ll look back on his host and analyze the dinner, criticizing something that, in his mind, didn’t go as he thought it should have but, actually, finding only some small, normal and unimportant defect.
That great practical sense transforms Capricorn in the kitchen, certainly not among the great chefs of the world, but a careful and disciplined executor, with certain gifts for which he has culinary aspirations. Capricorn’s cooking, for which he, with a sense of opportunism, manages to diversify with variations of the types of persons he hosts, in foods rich in tastes and perfumes, sometimes tending to be heavy and excessively caloric but, undoubtedly, conceived to be enjoyed by any guest really interested in good, substantial food.
