Dear Pisces friends,
it isn’t easy to describe you at the table. You really love to eat, you love company (the more unusual and extravagant, the better), and you are slightly morose (even though you would never admit it to yourself). Eating, therefore, becomes a means towards other mental and physical attractions, not all of which may be revealed.
Capricious, fascinating, sensitive, your dining table trembles like a cat purring, the cat which you are, malicious, sly, wonderfully free and unreliable. Your guests never expect you to be punctual, nor orderly, but they do know that they will be treated like royalty, that is, unless you suddenly change your mood, or your taste or habits, which can occur at any instant. It will be for them to try and follow you on unknown and uncertain directions of sensitivity and intuition.
Pisces who will prepare delicate and tasty dishes, is a good cook, yes, a very good cook, and is lucky enough to have been blessed with the sensitivity and intrinsic feeling for taking almost physical pleasure in transforming ingredients (with a knife, water and heat) into succulent recipes. In this sense, the Pisces does not disdain elaborate cooking, those recipes requiring long preparation, and does enjoy creating multi-flavored dishes, using many ingredients in the same recipe. The Pisces is very good at creating first courses (adores pasta), as well as in the idealization of innovative ways of prepare fish (being a water sign, with Neptune, king of the sea, as protector). Lastly, is very good with one-dish meals, this being the real stage for the Pisces multi-faceted imagination to perform and, let’s face it, combined with that bit of fantasy which makes the Pisces feel, even before being one, a great cook.
If you invite a Pisces to dinner, you’d better wait until you hear the doorbell ring before dropping the pasta into the boiling water or starting your risotto. But, when the Pisces is finally seated at your dining table, you will find the perfect guest, never critical (at least, not outwardly), charming, cheerful and….ready to stay up till all hours. Make pasta for him (even better, an elaborate pasta casserole with a delicious fish sauce), oysters, mussels or clams (raw or cooked), all will be welcomed along with salmon, caviar, bottarga (dried mullet roe), they are all favorite dishes! However, the Pisces won’t always eat just anything….but, when a Pisces eats, he really eats!
